WLP Honors South Asians in Public Service

Help build leaders from the South Asian community on Capitol Hill by joining CitySaheli this Friday, December 4th, at the Washington Leadership Program reception honoring South Asians in Public Service.

The Washington Leadership Program (WLP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging South Asian Americans to the political process.  Through its fellowship program, the WLP places students in the Washington offices of Members of Congress each summer and provides intensive leadership training workshops.  Initially founded by Gopal Raju in 1994, the WLP has placed over 170 fellows.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Jay Goyal, Ohio State House Majority Whip.  All proceeds from the event will go to the Washington Leadership Program to support South Asian interns on Capital Hill for 2010.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to help build the future!  Click here for more information or to RSVP for the event.
