Many like to visit a temple during Diwali time to pray for health, happiness and prosperity in the upcoming year. As New York and New Jersey have a very high South Asian population, there are plenty of temples for you to visit during this holy and festive time. CitySaheli has compiled a list of local Mandirs (Hindu Temples) and Gudwaras (Sikh Temples). We have included many, but not all the temples in the area, and encourage you to post others you recommend in our forums.
