For those of you who are “foodies” or those of you who have always thought about taking a different career path, The Economist and Vermilion have teamed up to bring together a remarkable South Asian female culinary panel. Don’t miss your chance to meet fashionable South Asian “foodies” today at Vermilion! These leading culinary women have all made unconventional career choices and will answer all the questions you’ve wanted to know during the five course meal. You will learn what it takes to host one of the highest rated TV shows, what it takes to be an executive chef and much more! You will meet Padma Lakshmi (Emmy nominated host of Top Chef, Award winning model, author, actress and jewelry designer), Rohini Dey (Restaurateur – founder/owner of Vermilion NYC and Chicago, formerly McKinsey & Co. and the World Bank), Alpana Singh (Master sommelier, Director wines and spirits LEYE restaurants group, Host Emmy winning Check, Please!, author “Alpana Pours”) and Maneet Chauhan (Vermilion executive chef, Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park) and (WelcomeGroup India).
